a5c7b9f00b A spacecraft lands on Earth. Steve Rogers (played by Randal Kleiser) observes the landing and investigates as Captain America.
After witnessing a spacecraft landing Steve Rogers (played by Randal Kleiser) switches to Captain America to investigate. He see a strange alien mutant (played by Bob Burns) leaving the craft. At first Captain America attempts to talk to the alien, only to be attacked. During the fight, the alien drops its ray gun, then knocks Captain America unconscious. The alien stoops to kill Captain America, but the Captain revives, grabs the ray gun and shots the alien, which vaporizes the creature. The Earth is safe again thanks to Captain America.
Captain America vs. the Mutant is a little different compared to your normal Donald F. Glut short. For one, it doesn't feature Glut in the starring role; instead, future Hollywood director Randal Kleiser tackles the role. Secondly, the film features a real-life Captain America costume which looks pretty good. Clocking in at just three minutes, this is full of action involving battles with big-headed aliens, all shot in somebody's backyard. It's cheap but cheerful from beginning to end, extending to car chases and simple transformation effects.
